I know I’ve neglected this space for quite a bit and even though I’ve a drafted entry partially completed, I never quite get down to finishing it.

 3 Random 2010/2011 thoughts:

1) 2010 hasn’t treated me too shabbily but it’s been too prim & proper, hence I’m hoping to take the leap of faith in this new year. No prize for guessing the context I’m refering to here.

2) It’s seemingly hard to arrange for meetup/gathering. ‘Work consumes me/you’, very much true but an excuse overtly abused sometimes. Nonetheless, I get by with the occasional dose of company I deem precious & important even till today.

3) After drooling and dreaming about the arm candy I need in my life, she’s finally enroute to become my most prized possession. And I think she’s gorgeous.

I just popped down some pills, have been plagued with an inflammed throat the past two days. Now, I really yearn for my immune system to be reinstated to it’s glory days, especially when the festivities coming right up – I want to feast like a king and make merry :(

Each time I fall sick, god knows the heinous amount of torment I put Marcusong through BUT it sure didn’t stop him from harping nonstop on my ill-discipline to abstain from unhealthy food which I take serious comfort in :(

On to less deplorable matters…

Hi Baby Tan,

this email is an instructional mail, which will elucidate, step by step, on how to get to Korea safely. U are to adhere strictly to these steps, as there is no room for negotiation.

1) from monday, U are to accquire a minimum amount of 7 hours of sleep daily. As flying dehydrates, regular bouts of water parades are expected.

2) U are not allowed to eat rubbish,from now till saturday. This is to allow space, and improved threshold for rubbish, when u’re here in Korea.

3) on Friday, please check that U have your passport, and a photocopied on with u. Place the photocopied on in your checked in lugguage.

4) Please then remember to bring your passport, along with your e ticket to check in.

5) On board the plane, try to start thinking of me, and recall how i look like, or u’ would not be able to recognise the man fetching u at the airport. 

6) Once in the HK airport, U are to transit. So do not follow the crowd and check out of the airport. Instead, look out for the Transfer logo. It is on the same level as where u alight from the plane. It is like a big door, and there are queues inside, where u have to be rescanned, and your hand carry rechecked too. Only once u have done this, you will be able to take a escalator up 1 level, which would be the departure level. Remember to look out for your new departure gate.Check with the staff at changi airport for a thorough briefing again on the day itself. 

7) Once on the plane to Incheon, immediately try to get some sleep. The stewardess will serve breakfast at 230 ish, which was just about the time I was about to fall asleep. Learning from my bad experience, It is therefore important that u plug in, and knock out immediately. 

8) At Incheon, after alighting the plan, u will follow the crowd , and take a train to the airport main area. Do not worry about stops, Just follow the crowd. 

9) After the train ride, U will check out of the airport. This is when u present your passport and the white piece of paper which u would have filled up on the plane. 

10) after this, remember to take your lugguage! 

11) After that walk out, and you should see me! If you do not, please wait for me at Macdonalds! If u still do not see me, please then call me at 9006xxxx! 

12) Upon seeing me, .. u noe wat to do!

While Marcus was busy fumbling with his notes/past year papers/consultations, I played replacement dates to the two boys because their original dates didn’t quite make it as planned.

I initially cringed at the thought of attending this concert because I’m not exactly a fan of theirs and I could only recall one song <寶貝對不起> haha! And our dear Kannan who calls himself a fan of theirs only knew as many song as I did, so you can imagine our trying efforts to assimilate into their fan base. It was an epic failure.  

This is the first outfit of the lead singer and if you think it’s odd, it just gets better (pun intended).

I like him best of the three! Quite charming in my opinion :p

Second outfit which he still looked pretty decent. Perhaps the outfit I think he looked best in!

His third outfit was quite out of the world. He had some thick chain strap across his body matched with a pouffy can-can skirt. Urghh I can’t give a clear description but it’s just weeeeeeeeeeeeeird.

This was one of their last few outfits, I lost count. They had too many.

 I enjoyed myself quite abit (I just have a penchant for live concerts!) and I caught myself hooked on their song (1991!)  <Lonely>. haha go goggle their music video if you haven’t because it’s quite catchy, albeit their cheesy outfits & hair-dos!

Promptly agreed to gw’s call but was clueless that we were going for a dance recital featuring NAFA’s students from their part-time courses. And gw was attending because a student of his from Zenitant was performing & she invited him (yes they’ve kept in contact for years). She was only 7 years old when he led their class for trails but she’s now 11, quite cool hur!

Now, am waiting like patience on a monument for Marcusong to get over with his exams so we can GO OUT AND PLAY!! I’ve been a deprived child :(

Sidenote, I’ll be heading out for a drink & breather with the colleagues tomorrow! YAY <3 mid-week chill-out sessions!

I’d say Orgo serves pretty decent mains albeit the slight steep prices and their drinks are quite worthy of a try too!

We all had the Ma-la soupbase while Kevin preferred the chicken soupbase…. Booorrriinnggg :p

Halloween @ Night Safari

Cheers to gw for getting us cheaper entry tickets! The person who came up with the halloween theme for Night Safari deserves a mention because while we were there, the human traffic was amazing!

We were told the queue for the haunted village is going to be insane, hence we made it the first on our agenda list since the queue would be more accomodating at earlier hours.

The entire walkthrough took less than five minutes but it was a veryvery tensed and amusing one. I was being pushed to the first in line so you can imagine me screaming at anything that pops infront of me. Definitely not for the faint-hearted!

I just had to have photos taken with these because their get up & make up were pretty awesome!

I highly recommend it for anyone who hasn’t try halloween themed destinations like this before and I heard they’re sold out online on the coming Fri & Sat! But be prepared the tickets are tad pricey ($50/pax this weekend) & the queuing is gna be mad too, but all worthwhile for a different experience!

1) Biz trip in a jiffy
This time to BKK! After all the meeting agenda has been fulfilled, I’ll be able to head out for some outoftheworld cheap shopping; be treated to a good whole body tradional thai masage and finally satisfy my cravings for some true blue tomyum!

(2) Oct = bday traps
We actually have four oct babies in our dept, that’s 37% of the total headcount! What we’ll usually do is to host a one-time celeb for all together (save time & money!) hopefully dindin at Melben cos I miss the crab beehoon terribly! 

(3) Turning 24 in less than 14 days
15th Oct falls nicely on a Friday which means I’ll be able to takeup Marcusong’s time without bearing any guilt becos he’s so stressed up with his studies and bank applications recently. We’ve no plans yet but that’s good too cos we’ll  just do it the impromptu way and pop by anywhere we feel like!

 Since time has been more forgiving, here’s the long overdue HK travelogue. This took place right after Seoul since Marcus & I had to transit in HK and our airtix allowed us for one stopover. HK needs no further introduction, a food and shopping paradise.

    
  He calls me Tanyating and we bicker about the most random things but it never lasts.
We’ve got too much nonsense to talk about there isn’t time to be cross for long!

Spent the entire last Sat afternoon sun bathing at Sentosa with two brillant companions  (the latter less ‘brillant’ cos I had a hard time chasing after him!). Completely smitted by the puuurfect weather but a pity I had to keep dry due to the cast but I’m sure I’ll return for more soon.

Speaking of which, I’ve finally cast the CAST away! This definitely calls for a celebration!
YAY! YAY! YAY! YAY! YAY! YAY! YAY! YAY! YAY! *pop champagne*

 On cloud’s nine now – finally, I can be spared from those harsh glances; bid goodbye to itch and fugly skin exfoliations; fit seamlessly into my slim-cut blazers; take the wheels and go rollerblading AGAIN (hahhaa marcusong must be rolling his eyes when he sees this!). But it’s no happy ending yet cos I’m stuck with a weak wrist/thumb & boring physio for now…

Past revelries, not in chronological order…

The last of Sam (aka small nails) before she takes off again. Every meetup with these pretties reminds me fondly of the times we used to lug those cans and sample together. It’s a very nostalgic issue and I’m glad we’re still in contact.

This is why I love spending time with the BFF becos it’s always kept simple and meaningful <3 
It’s been awhile since we’ve done anything adventurous together but we’re resuming our globe-trotting ways and I can foresee loads of feasting & compulsive shopping!

Timbre loving. You’ve to try their roasted duck pizza if you haven’t, the popiah cracker is a great icing to the cake.

MBS was teeming with people on National Day but the Infinity pool concept looks pretty enticing. A pity I had to keep dry again becos of my fat cast. Thankgod we held long enough to get enjoy an awesome view of the aerospace showcase & fireworks!!
